Friday: The Gift of Ordinary Faithfulness
We live in a world that celebrates the extraordinary. The bigger the moment, platform, or achievement, the better.
However, most of our life is lived in ordinary moments.
- The quiet prayer.
- The kind word.
- The faithful service nobody notices.
- The decision to forgive.
- The choice to keep walking with God when no one is watching.
Jesus spent years in ordinary life before His public ministry began. The Son of God lived quietly in a carpenter’s home in Nazareth.
Those years mattered. The ordinary mattered. God is not only present in the moments that get noticed, He is present in the everyday.
Paul writes:
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men…
Colossians 3:23 ESV
Faithfulness is not measured by how impressive our lives appear. It’s measured by whether we are faithful with what God has placed in front of us.
We should never underestimate what God can do through a life surrendered in ordinary ways.

Until my next post…
Be salty, stay lit.
