Our Gracious Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts for this nation called America. Thank You for the freedoms we often take for granted, for the people who have sacrificed to preserve them, and for the countless ways You have demonstrated Your grace and shown us Your mercy throughout our history.
Precious Lord, we confess that we have often trusted in our own strength more than in You. We have allowed pride to replace humility, anger to replace compassion, and fear to replace faith. Forgive us for the ways we have drifted from Your heart.
Heal what is broken among us.
Replace division with understanding.
Where hatred exists, grow love.
Amid confusion, reveal truth.
Where there is injustice, allow righteousness to take its place.
In moments of despair, breathe hope.
Teach us to see one another not as political opponents, strangers, or enemies, but as people created in Your image and deeply loved by You.
Strengthen Your Church to be salt and light, not merely speaking about truth, but living it with grace, humility, courage, and compassion. May we be known more for our love than our arguments, more for serving than demanding to be served, and more for reflecting Christ than winning debates.
Give wisdom to our leaders at every level of government. Guide their decisions, restrain evil, encourage what is good, and remind them that true authority is always exercised under Your sovereign hand.
Bless our families, our neighborhoods, our schools, our churches, and our workplaces. Raise up men and women of integrity who humbly and faithfully seek Your Kingdom in everyday life.
Revive us, Lord. Renew our love for You, our God.
Start with our own hearts. Allow repentance and renewal to begin with us. Transform us into people who love what You love, pursue what is right, extend mercy generously, and walk humbly with You.
May America not simply become more prosperous or more powerful, but also more faithful. May we seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that every lasting hope is found in Your son, Jesus Christ, alone.
We pray all of this in the name of our Savior and King, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Until my next post…
Be salty, stay lit.
