Another Prayer for America

A Prayer of Renewal

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You once again on behalf of our nation. We thank You for Your patience, Your mercy, and Your steadfast love that has sustained America through generations. Though we have often wandered, You have remained faithful.

Lord, renew us.

Renew our hearts before You. Replace pride with humility, anger with gentleness, and fear with faith. Teach us to seek Your wisdom before our own opinions and Your truth above every competing voice.

Renew our families. Strengthen our marriages. Encourage our parents. Protect our children. Raise up a generation that knows You, loves Your Word, and walks in Your ways.

Renew Your Church. May we be known not for division or self-interest, but for sacrificial love, holy living, courageous truth, and unwavering hope. Help us to remember that our highest allegiance is to the Kingdom of God.

Renew our leaders. Grant them integrity, wisdom, discernment, and a genuine desire to pursue justice with mercy instead of simply enriching themselves. May those entrusted with authority recognize that they are ultimately accountable to You. May they value Your Name above their own.

Renew our communities. Heal fractured relationships. Break down walls of suspicion and hostility. Help neighbors become friends and strangers become brothers and sisters. Teach us to listen before we speak, to understand before we judge, and to serve before we seek recognition.

Renew our sense of shared purpose. Remind us that true greatness is found not in power or prosperity, but in loving God and loving our neighbors. Help us to be people who seek the common good, defend the vulnerable, honor human dignity, and pursue peace.

Lord, begin this renewal with us.

Revive our own hearts. Make us quicker to forgive, slower to criticize, eager to encourage, faithful in prayer, generous in service, and steadfast in hope. May we become the kind of people through whom You are pleased to work.

As we celebrate our nation’s blessings and acknowledge its brokenness, keep our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ for He is the only lasting hope for America and for every nation under heaven.

May Your Kingdom come.
May Your will be done.
On earth as it is in heaven.
