My God IS a Provider

Friends, God often provides in ways we would never expect.

After announcing the coming drought, Elijah didn’t head for a bustling city or a well-stocked marketplace. God sent him to the Brook Cherith, where ravens brought him bread and meat morning and evening, and the brook supplied fresh water.

Ravens aren’t known for generosity. Brooks eventually dry up. Yet for a season, they became God’s chosen means of provision for Elijah.

Sometimes we become so focused on how God should provide that we miss the ways He already is.

Our Provider, Jehovah Jireh, is not limited by economics, circumstances, or human logic. He owns every resource in creation and delights in caring for His children.

When the brook dries up, it doesn’t mean God has stopped providing. It simply means He’s preparing the next chapter of His provision.

Prayer

Father, help us trust You for today’s needs. Open our eyes to see Your provision, even when it arrives in unexpected ways. Teach us to depend on You rather than the resources themselves. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
