No Condemnation. No Separation. No Defeat.
Romans 8 is a chapter you breathe in.
Paul starts with:
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:1 ESV

No condemnation.
Not less condemnation or condemnation when you mess up.
No condemnation.
Then Paul reminds us that we aren’t walking through life alone but that the Spirit of God lives in us, helping us in our weakness, and interceding for us even when we don’t know what to pray.
Paul hits it home with one of the great promises of Scripture:
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 ESV

Notice Paul doesn’t say that everything is good. We know some things hurt and even break our hearts. Life is confusing at times.
Even so, God is still working.
Paul lands the plane with the greatest assurance of all:
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/rom.8.38-39.ESV
There is no trouble, hardship, failure, uncertainty, or no yesterday or tomorrow, that shall separate us from God.
Nothing.
That means our confidence isn’t based on how well we’re doing today, but on the One who holds us today.
God isn’t letting go.
So whatever you’re carrying this Saturday, remember:
- You are not condemned.
- You are not alone.
- You are not abandoned.
- And you are not separated from God’s love.
Romans 8 is a glimpse of God’s goodness.
And that’s a pretty good way to start the weekend.

Until my next post…
Be salty, stay lit.
