Friends, this week has gotten away from me and I don’t have anything ready to post. So, we’re winging it today. What’s been something that stood out to you this past week?
For me, it’s been the young people I work with at Samaritan’s Purse. Their love for the Lord and desire to make a difference in His name are both encouraging and inspiring. They’ve rekindled my hope for the next generation and given me more than a few good belly laughs along the way.
They’ve also reminded me of earlier seasons of my life: leading a young adult class at our first church home nearly twenty years ago and managing an amazing group of high school and college students 25–30 years ago at Babe’s Chicken Dinner House in Roanoke, Texas.
Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent.
Psalm 104:1-2 ESV
A second thing that’s stood out to me is the sky and how you can see God’s handiwork all over it, whether that’s a sunrise, a sunset, or a weather front moving through the atmosphere.
I pray your work week ends well. It’s Friday, after all. Go make it a great day!

Until my next post…
Be salty, stay lit.
