A few weeks ago, I wrote a review about the fantastic, locally-created musical Satisfried, encouraging folks to make a point to go out and see it if they had the opportunity. Well GOOD NEWS! For one night only the Palace Theatre in Grapevine is hosting an encore presentation of this fun, lively, faith-based musical written and directed by local Dallas playwright Thomas A. King.
The musical featuring the music of Andrae Crouch is set in the mid-20’s southern town of Chick-a-wile,Georgia. The story centers around Satis Bell Armstrong, a struggling, self-made Soul Food Kitchen owner who sings/performs out of her business on the weekends, to the dismay of her preacher-brother, Reverend Otis.
Here is a glimpse of what you’ll get, courtesy of Thomas A. King. Tickets are a very reasonable $22. I believe there is a small discount for those purchasing 5 or more tickets.
Check it out if you get the chance. You’ll be glad you did.
