The end of the day arrives. You could have done better. I know I certainly could have watched my words more closely than I did. We both need to ask God for forgiveness. The beautiful practice of evening prayer provides us the opportunity to do business with the Lord before we lay our head down on our pillows.
Evening prayer is not just for forgiveness. It is also for expressing gratitude for all the things that went right and for the inexplicable blessings that exceeded our wildest expectations. God is SO incredibly good to us.
In the evening, we can reflect on the day that has passed and look forward to the day that is to come. What a great joy it is to be able to commune with the Lord in prayer.
