Morning prayer offers a way for us to focus on seeking God’s plan for the day that is to come. What divine appointments will we encounter? Will we be ready to respond to the challenges of the day in a manner that points people to the Cross? Morning prayer allows us to begin the day on the right foot, spending our waking moments with Our Creator.
Talking with God first thing in the morning allows us to align our heart, mind, and soul in accordance with His will for our lives. I believe He delights in us when we engage in conversation with Him. He yearns to hear from each of us. God’s desire is to have a personal relationship with you and me. Prayerful conversation is part of growing that relationship. Morning prayer is an early investment in our daily walk with the Lord. It is, I believe, an investment that reaps great rewards.
