Morning Prayer 6 | Fueling Your Day With Prayer

How we begin our day is important. Like a healthy breakfast and a good cup of coffee, morning prayer fuels our day. Too often we’re in a great hurry to get up and get going. Other times we fight to get out of bed. I get it. The struggle is real. If prayer is to be a priority in our lives then we need to be intentional in setting aside time to pray. No matter what is going on in our life, we tend to find time for those things that are important to us.

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

Colossian 4:2 (ESV)

As believers, it is imperative that we persevere in prayer. In prayer, we ask God to act in our lives and affirm our faith in Him. When we fail to pray, we’re declaring our independence from God. We’re climbing into the driver’s seat where we don’t belong. However, when we remain faithful in prayer we can rest assured that God can accomplish many things. Throughout his many writings, the Apostle Paul urges us to be people of prayer, devoting ourselves to praying and giving prayer constant attention and priority in our lives.

Spending time in prayer, communicating with God in a real and personal way, is a great way to help get our day off on the right foot.

May the peace of God be with you.

Blessings,
