Evening Prayer 14 | Being Kinder

Today’s world is a rude place. People shove their way ahead in the line at the grocery store. The car in the lane next to you pushes their way into your lane, oblivious to the potential consequences. It doesn’t matter. Their time is more important. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Change begins with you and me. We can start by being kind to the next person we meet. When we are kind, we communicate that we genuinely value others. We build people’s confidence. We empower them to be kind. We make a positive difference in the life of another person. It’s a win-win. We all benefit from a kinder world.

Prayer: Father God, help me be a kinder person tomorrow than I was today. Make me conscious of the benefit kindness has on others. Help me be a positive force for good in this world by being kind to the people I encounter throughout my day.
