You and I can endure and persevere in our faith—trusting God to follow through on His promises—because the Lord is sovereign and ruler over all. He is indeed the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!
As believers, we pursue our spiritual goals over our physical goals. As we follow God we should strive for different objectives from the acquisition of wealth for selfish purposes. It’s not the money that is bad. It’s a selfish, self-centered attitude that is problematic. Anything we put above God and solely satisfying our own selfish desire is bad. We must love God with our everythingess and others as we love ourselves.
As Christians, we put God first in our life. Pleasing the Lord becomes our priority. We realize that putting God first allows everything else in our lives to fall in its proper place. We recognize that He is able to do all things, greater than we could ever imagine and that He alone is worthy of our praise and worship.
Praise the Lord for He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords!
Blessings,

1 Timothy 6:12-16 (ESV)
12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, 14 to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
