31 Days of Praise | Day 26 Finding Freedom in God

Psalm 70:5 (NIV)

But as for me, I am poor and needy; come quickly to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer; LORD, do not delay.

I’ve said it many times—God is for you, not against you. He doesn’t seek to enslave you, but rather He seeks to set you free. In Jesus, we are free from the chains of sin and shame. God’s love cleanses us from our hurts, habits, and hangups. We are able to live abundantly with joy and in peace.

We are broken. Sometimes, we’re shattered. Life just kicks the living daylights out of us when we least expect it, taking our breath away. It’s in those difficult times we need a God who can deliver us the most.

We can trust the Lord to do just that—help us when the journey gets tough. He is trustworthy. We can have faith in Him to deliver on His promises. We need fear no longer, accepting the gifts of God’s grace and mercy. In Him, we are healed and freed from a life going nowhere to a new life focused on pleasing the Lord.

Praise God for His goodness because He is good indeed—-all the time!

Blessings,
