There never seems to be enough time. Unlike your car, there’s no gauge telling you how much time is left in your tank. You only know you’ve got less time left today than you started with yesterday.
Time spends itself regardless if you do something with it. Be intentional; don’t be intentional. The minutes keep ticking away. We get distracted, engrossed in our devices, failing to look up to see what’s around us. Opportunities pass us by without us ever knowing they were there.
“So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.”
Matthew 7:17-20 ESV
For us individually, time is a limited resource. But time didn’t begin, nor will it end with us. How we spend our time today is our choice. There are a few things we do that yield good fruit. On the other hand, there are numerous activities that bear no fruit.
You can spend today bitter and angry or you can choose to live a life transformed, forgiving, and fueled by a heart full of love and grace.
You can make a difference by loving those who God’s given you to love and leaving a person or a place better than you found them.
You’ve got the time you got. How will you spend your time today?

I love the song! I am going to check out this group. And you are so right, we need to make intentionally choices with our time.

Devotional Guy, thanks for sharing some thoughts as well as a song. As I grow older, the calendar seems to move quickly along, but I am discovering ways with God’s help to slow down the clock’s movement when I allow Him to bring me peace.
