In the four weeks leading up to Christmas, observers of Advent pray, meditate, and study God’s word. The focus of these intentional moments with God highlight love, joy, hope, and peace. Believers from diverse backgrounds commentate this period of time. Yes, their practices may look different. However, their hearts and minds are tuned to the pending arrival of Jesus, the Messiah and King of Kings.
The poem below is inspired by those believers all around the world who celebrate this season of worship leading up to Christmas Day. I pray you are blessed by it.
May the Lord go with you wherever you go. May peace follow you always. Stay confident that the Lord who called you also equipped you.
Blessings,

Waiting: An Advent Poem
Waiting God.
We are waiting on Your return.
Come back, Lord. Come back to us, Jesus.
You are the same God You have always been.
Yesterday.
Today.
and Tomorrow.
We are waiting God. Waiting.
Waiting for that day when You make all things right. Waiting.
No one knows when You will return. No one but You. We are waiting.
Waiting for the day of no more sorrows and no more pain. Waiting.
Lord, our God, help us in our waiting as we look forward with great anticipation to Your return.
We are here, God.
Waiting.
