Late last week, I got a new flip calendar for our home. Each page features a Bible verse to meditate on for the day.
In addition, various conversations this week have brought to mind specific verse that I’ve read, reread, and thought about throughout the week.
For today’s Sunday Bible Study post, I thought it would be fun to share them.
During one conversation I had this past week, I was asked to share my favorite verse or my life verse. Truthfully, there are so many verses that I love that readily come to mind. But, if I had to settle on a life verse, 2 Corinthians 5:17 is probably the one I would claim.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Another verse that popped up a lot this week, both in conversations and in various reading I did, was Ephesians 2:10.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Here are some other verses I meditated on this week:
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
1 Corinthians 1:27 ESV

“You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”
John 15:14-15 ESV

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 ESV

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Billy Graham Quote of the Week
“When we are a comfort and encouragement to others, we are sometimes surprised at how it comes back to us many times over.”
Billy Graham
Meditating on Scripture is a great way to stay connected to God and His Word. It sets our minds on things above and helps us stay focused on noble truths like humility, justice, and love.
What are some Bible verses you encountered this week?
Please share them in the comments.

Until my next post…
Be salty, stay lit.
