Wednesday Wisdom | 3 Ways to Protect Yourself Amid Spiritual Attacks

Following Jesus doesn’t mean you won’t face spiritual attacks. Sometimes, the closer you walk with God, the more important it becomes to stand firm in your faith.

Here are three ways to guard your heart and mind:

1. Stay Grounded in God’s Word.
Truth helps you recognize the lies that try to steal your peace, undermine your identity, and weaken your faith. Know what God says about you. (Ephesians 6:17)

2. Make Prayer Your First Response.
Don’t let fear, discouragement, or temptation have the final word. Bring your struggles to God. Ask Him for strength, wisdom, and peace. (Philippians 4:6–7)

3. Stand Firm in Your Faith.
Put on the full armor of God. Resist the enemy, surround yourself with fellow believers, and remember who holds you in His hands. You don’t have to fight every battle in your own strength. (Ephesians 6:10–18)

Remember: You don’t overcome spiritual attacks by living in fear of the enemy. You stand firm by keeping your eyes on Jesus.

Stay rooted in the Word. Stay connected to God. Keep walking by faith.

Until my next post…

Be salty, stay lit.

  1. Eric Dunbar's avatar Eric Dunbar says:

This is such an encouraging and practical reminder. Spiritual battles are real, but we do not face them alone or rely on our own strength. Staying grounded in Scripture, turning to God first in prayer, and standing firm in faith help keep our hearts focused on Jesus rather than fear. When we put on the full armor of God and remain connected to other believers, we can walk forward with confidence, knowing that God is faithful and His truth is greater than every lie of the enemy.
