Evening Prayer | Evening 1

You’ve had a long day. Some things didn’t go your way. Others exceeded your wildest expectation. We praise God in the good and the bad. That’s the sign of spiritual maturity. No matter what, we recognize God remains in control. Listen to the words of St. Gregory of Nazianzus as you recite them out loud. They’re beautiful and resonate with every fiber of our being. “Let me not cease to worship you!”

At the end of the day, we lay our burdens and our blessings at His feet. He will help us through the valley laden with our baggage of the day. He will rejoice with us on the mountain of blessings He showered upon us because of His abundant grace. He loves us. That is undeniably clear. Praise God as we prepare to lay our head down to rest.

  2. I hear you brother. Sometimes all we can do is dust ourselves off and move forward the best we can. Continuing to pray for you.
