3 Things I am Learning from the #Blogtober Guest Post Experience

The guest post experience is proving delightful and exhilarating. For #Blogtober, and in celebration of publishing my 1,000th post, I invited several bloggers to join in the celebration.

I’ve always considered community to be a big part of what makes blogging enjoyable. Guest blogging enriches the whole blogging experience. For me, it has reenergized my own interest in blogging. For those who have contributed content, it has stretched them creatively as they wrangled with creating content to be published somewhere other than their own site.

3 (more) Things I Learned About Blogging from The Devotional Guy (And How They’ve Worked for Me)

While it’s not quite like co-writing a book with author James Patterson, the guest posting experience is turning out to be both rewarding and personally formational.

I am grateful for my fellow Christian bloggers David Duncan, Andy Berry, and Bridget A. Thomas for their contributions. Over the next several weeks, I will also feature guest posts by Beth Alison, Chad Campese, Kathryn McClatchy, and cyclist and recovery guru, Professor Jim.

I am happy to help provide others a platform to share their spiritual journey and life experiences.

The 3 things I am learning from the #Blogtober guest post experience?

1. Inviting others along for the journey deepens the relationship you have with them.

2. Building community begins with one person engaging another person to do something together.

3. Sharing your platform encourages others and helps them thrive and flourish creatively.

Rockin’ My Crocs

Are you interested in writing a guest post for my blog?

In the month of November we will focus on the subject of gratitude. In December, we will turn our eyes and shift our focus to Advent. Naturally, you are welcome to write about something else, but I find the themes helpful in offering up some guidance.

If you’re interested in writing a guest blog for my blog, please feel free to reach out to me in the “Comments” or via email.

In the meantime…

Happy #Blogtober!
