Reflecting on the Brevity of Life

I originally posted a portion of this on my Facebook page and shared it on Instagram. I’m grateful for the generous support of the people who have engaged with me in some manner because of the original post on social media.

This last week has had its challenges. Thankfully, God is faithful.

One of our outside neighbors died last week. We found him in his car outside our gates. We got to know Adrian during our Inclement Weather Service at the Dallas Convention Center during Snowmageddon 2021. I’m trying to do some drawings as a way to honor and celebrate him. #loveyourneighbor #tribute #lifeisavapor

Life is short. Adrian was just 34. The cause of his death is currently unknown. Nor does it really matter. How we die isn’t nearly as important as how we live.

As my Mom pointed out a couple weeks ago after turning 85—“The window is getting smaller.”

I encourage you to spend your time wisely. Go and create something. Go do something fun. And most of all—-LOVE WELL.
