Happy Monday, y‘all!
“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”
Jeremiah 29:7 ESV

It’s easy to complain about the world around us. The culture. The politics. The people who seem to have lost their way.
But God calls His people to do something different.
Pray for your city. Seek its good. Be a blessing to the people who live in it.
We don’t have to agree with everything happening around us to care about the people who call our city home. We can be faithful followers of Jesus right where God has planted us.
This Monday, let’s spend less time complaining about what’s wrong and more time praying about what could be right.
Our cities need more than our criticism. They need our prayers, our compassion, and the love of Jesus in action.
Blessings, and have a purposeful Monday!

Until my next post…
Be salty, stay lit.

Thanks for sharing, David. Sounds like a busy day. I whispered some short prayers on my way to work. It’s a 35-45 minute drive, so it does provide time most mornings. And due to the nature of what I do at work, I was blessed with prayer opportunities. I imagine that’s different than working in a school. May the Lord give you more opportunities tomorrow. Blessings.

Ok, day is over, and so is supper. I didn’t have much time to pray for the welfare of anything today. School was one issue after another–basically being a negotiator and peace maker for the most of the day. Hopefully, God prayed through me anyway.

Amen… Obviously, there are “more then 10 left…. And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake. Genisis 18:32

This also applies to praying for our work places, churches, and wherever we find ourselves. I will do that today—pray for the welfare of wherever I am. Thank you, brother. I hope you have a blessed Monday.
