Throughout the Gospels, Jesus not only talks about the importance of prayer but demonstrates the value He places on it.
We see Christ go off to spend time communing with God, the Father (and I presume the Holy Spirit) in prayer.
Scripture points out that Jesus would get up early in the morning to spend time with God and in prayer.
Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.
Mark 1:35 (New Living Translation)
In the opening verses of Luke 18, we see Christ encouraging believers to remain steadfast in prayer.
One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. “There was a judge in a certain city,” he said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people. A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, ‘Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.’ The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people, but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’” Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”
Luke 18:1-8 (NLT)
Persistence and perseverance are key ingredients in a recipe leading to a growing prayer life. We can trust God to stay true to His word. He hears us and answers us because He loves us and cares for us.
While I think some of the most loving and caring responses God gave to my beseeching Him was not answering my prayers in the manner I wanted Him to do, I also believe He hears and answers us. I think hearing God in our life takes practice and requires intentional listening. We need to know His word so that we can know His voice.

Absolutely, you should compile your prayers into a little book. I would purchase a copy. Prayer truly is a discipline—one that is not talked about enough these days.

I am reading a book of daily Prayers and Thoughts now titled; ‘God Hears Her’. It’s nice to start with a daily Prayer to meditate on as you start the day.

some folks get wary of written out prayers. I truly don’t know why – those same people are often perfectly repeating the words of the Lord’s prayer, without even a thought as to the true depth of their meaning.
Written out prayers really can be so very helpful! A definite thumbs up from me for that!
Actually, my second book is nearly ready for publishing…just need to order a proof copy (not a quick part of the process) so I can check what the actual book will look in my hands, before hitting the ‘publish’ button (so to speak).

yes. is self publish, through amazon KDP
it’s really easy to do. there are some technical bits, but they walk you through those parts too,.
the biggest hurdle is setting the exact right dimensions for your cover image (it needs to be uploaded as a PDF to amazon)
but, again, there is a calculator that takes you through to getting that part right.
i’ve got a working word template now – all the margins are set correctly (REALLY important)
little bit of trial and error, and all good
